Svilanovic: No need to be afraid of dialogue (Blic, KIM Radio)

Secretary General of the Regional Cooperation Council, Goran Svilanovic thinks that the Belgrade-Pristina relation is one of the biggest political issues in a negotiation process with the EU, but neither Serbs nor Albanians should be afraid of dialogue, Blic daily reported.

“It is true that the Belgrade-Pristina relation is one of the biggest political issues in the process of negotiations. Current messages of the EU officials and of crucial EU politicians do not speak about the formalization of the independence. We will all look for a mutually accepted solution, Belgrade, Pristina and the EU, within the framework of the Brussels dialogue,” Svilanovic stated.

He further added that neither Albanians nor Serbs should be afraid of a dialogue, as it was shown both sides are able to make agreements.

Speaking about Serbia’s accession to the EU, he said he would not like to speculate about dates, but that Serbia should use all what is offered, means, technical and experts’ support to complete the negotiation process at a technical level within few next years.
