Rebuttal from Podgorica: Date of visit to Kosovo not agreed (Tanjug, Blic, MINA, RTCG)
The Government of Montenegro, rebutted today reporting of the Pristina based media it has been agreed that the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Dusko Markovic would visit Pristina in the end of January next year, Tanjug news agency reported.
“Date of the visit of the Prime Minister Dusko Markovic to Kosovo has not been agreed,” Montenegrin Government said and added the issue of demarcation for Podgorica is “a closed matter”.
Pristina based media earlier reported that the visit of the Montenegrin PM Markovic to Kosovo was agreed in Brussels, while the Montenegrin Government said Kosovo PM Haradinaj invited his counterpart Markovic to visit Pristina, however the date of the visit is yet to be agreed, Serbian media further reported.
“The Prime Minister Markovic, during this occasion told his colleague Haradinaj, Montenegro will not change its stance when it comes to the demarcation and urged Kosovo to ratify the agreement in the parliament, as it was requested on several occasions from the highest levels in Brussels and Washington,” the Head of the Montenegrin Government Office for Public Relations, Srdjan Kusovac told MINA news agency.
