Mihajlovic, Jevtic reactions on Oliver Ivanovic’s murder (Tanjug, Dnevnik, Kurir)

Serbian Deputy Prime Minister, Zorana Mihajlovic reacting to Oliver Ivanovic’s murder told Serbian media, it cannot contribute to the peace and security in Kosovo and that she hopes the perpetrators would be found and face the justice.

“It is a tragedy. My condolence goes to the family. But this cannot contribute to the peace and security in Kosovo and Metohija. Neither inflammatory messages of the Albanian politicians telling Serbs not to come back to Kosovo. The Serbian Government pledged and will pledge for security and peaceful resolution of the Kosovo issue,” Mihajlovic said, according to Kurir. Jevtic: Situation in other Serb municipalities calm Kosovo Minister for Communities and Return, Dalibor Javtic, said that after the murder of Oliver Ivanovic, the situation in the-Serb majority municipalities in Kosovo is calm and without major problems, but the feelings of uneasiness and discomfort are present. He said the murder of Ivanovic is shocking and brought additional discomfort in the already tensed situation. Jeftic said he spoke with KFOR commanders, representatives of the police, and they, according to him, increased patrols and police presence in Mitrovica North. When it comes to other Serb-majority places in Kosovo, the situation is, according to Jevtic, calm, without major problems and additional security measures, Serbian media reported.
