Stefanovic: Until first exchange of information with Kosovo institutions weeks have passed (Blic)
In the best interest of Serbia is that killers of Oliver Ivanovic are found as soon as possible, and from the moment when Kosovo authorities said that they are ready to cooperate, weeks have passed before the actual exchange of information occurred, said Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic, reports Belgrade based daily Blic.
- On Friday, as far as I was informed, we got first findings, first forensic, ballistic and autopsy reports, and in fact, it's been a month. The question now arises if you want to seriously cooperate on such a serious terrorist crime of murder, is it necessary to pass a month to share some information for the first time - Stefanovic told reporters on the allegations of Kosovo's justice minister Abilard Tahiri that Serbia does not co-operate with the Kosovo authorities in case of Ivanovic's murder.
As far as Serbia is concerned, it is in its greatest interest that killers are found as soon as possible, stresses Stefanovic, who thinks that Tahiri's statement does not stand, reports Blic.
According to him, the competent authorities of Serbia absolutely want to cooperate and also want the police teams to go to talk with colleagues in Pristina, under the auspices of EULEX.
- As far as I am aware, the Ministry of Justice will give the information we have available, all which is relevant, to help resolve this case, but the cooperation must first come from those who can control the situation on the ground, Pristina authorities above all - concludes Stefanovic.
