Jevtic: Attack on children dangerous provocation (KIM Radio)
Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Communities and Returns, Dalibor Jevtic said that last night incident in the village of Staro Gracko when children were attacked is a dangerous provocation, KIM Radio reports.
He added, it is even more dangerous because a six-month old baby who was in arms of her mother was also injured.
“This is a dangerous provocation that has to be addressed immediately by arresting and imposing an adequate punishable measure to the perpetrators, since in this case they are known to the police. In is beyond common sense to provoke and attack children who are not guilty of anything and could not provoke anything like this,” Jevtic added.
He said he has contacted responsible bodies and requested accountability of the police officers present on the spot, who did not react adequately and accidentally endangered the baby by using a pepper spray.
“Mistreatment of Serbs must stop and it is simply impermissible what happened last night in Staro Gracko and what happened over the last few days to the Serb people in Kosovo, starting from blocking Serbs to visit their sanctuary in the village of Petric, to the cattle thefts in the villages of Bosce and Grizime nearby Kamenica and which were the only source of income for the affected families,” Jevtic said, KIM Radio reported.
