Dacic: In August there will be a fight in the UN due to sessions on Kosovo (RTS)
In the past six months, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has worked to preserve the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia, European integrations and improving cooperation with the countries of the region, said Minister Ivica Dacic and added that in August there will be a struggle to hold meetings on Kosovo in the same way as so far at the UN Security Council, reports national broadcaster of Serbia, RTS.
Ivica Dacic said at the Assembly Foreign Affairs Committee that there is an intention of Kosovo to end the mandate of UNMIK in that territory, to have fewer, abolish or close the UN Security Council session on Kosovo.
"It's unacceptable for us. We will see how further will continue to develop discussion about it." In May, there was no problem, however, in August, the Chairperson is the United Kingdom and very likely that these issues will be raised," said Dacic.
He added that the latest developments in Kosovo show that UNMIK mission should remain in non-reduced format and that Kosovo should continue to be discussed regularly at the sessions of the UN Security Council, RTS reports.
