Simic: Request to international representatives to prevent attacks against Serbs (RTS)
Member of Srpska Lista, Igor Simic told RTS Serbia’s progress does not go in favour of some people and that is why they are trying to drag Serbia into a vortex of instability.
Simic made these remarks commenting on frequent attacks against Serbs and their properties over the last days in Kosovo and Metohija.
He added it is about synchronized attacks in areas where Serbs are in minority, and their aim is to intimidate returnees and remaining Serbs in Kosovo.
Simic emphasised that Kosovo police, KFOR and other security services do not do their work as incidents which are not isolated cases are happening and since May 1 there were more than 20 of them.
That is why, Srpska Lista according to Simic, requests international representatives to strengthen preventive actions and presence in Serbian areas, as well as to prevent attacks.
He added, a meeting with Quint representatives is scheduled today and there they would demand a clear condemnation of attacks, while a meeting with KFOR Commander is expected to happen in the following days.
Simic also said that these issues exceed capacities of local police to react, since the police does not want to, RTS reported.
