Albanians from the south of Serbia seek reciprocity with northern Kosovo (Kossev, FoNet, N1)
Representatives of all parties acting among Albanians in Bujanovac, Presevo and Medvedja and representatives of the non-governmental sector agreed that the Assembly of all Albanian councillors from these three municipalities will meet on July 14th and adopt a statement on political events in the region, the President of the Democratic Party of Albanians (DPA), Ragmi Mustafa told news agency FoNet.
On Monday, a commission was formed from representatives of all political parties, which will prepare the statement.
"Reciprocity with northern Kosovo will be requested or to what the Serbs living there would got in the upcoming dialogue in Brussels," Mustafa said.
Mustafa said that Albanians from southern Serbia do not expect to be in the negotiating team from Pristina in Brussels.
"We will give the full mandate to the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo to negotiate instead of us, in a reciprocal manner, that all what the Serbs from the north of Kosovo get - also the Albanians in the Presevo Valley to have," he explained.
This is the second meeting of representatives of Albanian political parties from the south of Serbia.
The first was held on the initiative of Mustafa on July 5 in Presevo, which was not attended by representatives of the two ruling parties in that municipality - Alternative for Change and the Movement for Reforms of the Democratic Party of Albanians.
On Monday, their representatives in Bujanovac were also present at the meeting, reported the media.
