Vucic: We are far away from Kosovo solution (Danas)
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said yesterday “that we are very far away from any solution” in relation to Kosovo and if he “may predict” Belgrade “would get nothing” from negotiations with Pristina, Danas daily reported.
Asked to comment on the Kosovo Prime Minister opposing Hashim Thaci to continue talks with him, Vucic responded “he does not want to get involved in their internal matters.”
“Ours is to fight for rational, reasonable, realistic solutions, but realistic solutions in which Serbia would be respected, its interests as well, not only Serbian national interests but the interests of Serbia as a state as well. If we can agree ok, if we cannot agree it is ok as well,” Vucic told journalists.
President Vucic also said it would not be the first failed attempt, since Serbia is trying to reach peace and stable relations with Albanians for the last two centuries, and it did not go, however he would like to resolve this issue once for good.
However, Vucic opined that “we are very far away from any solution” adding “if there would be an opportunity people would declare themselves, and if there are no opportunity people would not declare. There is no need for any nervousness,” he said.
