Lipljan: Group of young men wrote “UÇK” on Serbian school and house (RTV KIM)
A group of young men jumped over a fence of school “Braca Aleksic” attended by Serbian children and wrote “UÇK” on its wall. Chair of Provisional Council in Lipljan Zlatko Lazic told RTV KIM the young men were Kosovo Albanians and that this incident caused uneasiness among the remaining Serbs in the town.
Lazic added that similar things were happening in the past in Lipljan as well, but not during the daylight.
“Today, at around 10:45 a group of young Albanians jumped over the fence of Primary School “Braca Aleksic” in Lipljan and wrote “UÇK” on the wall. Such incidents were happening during the last couple of years, but during the night.”
“What happened today additionally worries inhabitants in Lipljan and its surrounding, children and teachers, because it happened before the midday, while children were still in the school,” Lazic said.
He added this is a pressure excreted upon Serbs living in Lipljan town. In addition to the school, graffiti are written on the wall of Serbian house, across the church in Lipljan.
Office for Kosovo and Metohija condemned this incident and linked the act with the beginning of the work of Specialist Court for KLA crimes, RTV KIM reported.
