Clinic and Health Centre in Mitrovica North received yesterday humanitarian aid related to medical material, Director of the Centre, Milan Ivanovic told Radio kontakt plus.

“After the problems to get medicaments, due to hampering acts by Pristina, thus disabling an adequate medical treatment of our patients, yesterday on 12 December, necessary medical material from our state of Serbia arrived and it was received as humanitarian aid,” Ivanovic said, underlining that “taxes are not paid for the humanitarian deliveries.”

Ivanovic noted he has no contact with the Pristina Ministry of Health representatives, and there were no donations made from that ministry. According to him, information published by some media is not accurate.

And some media reported that the Kosovo government gave donation for medical material to the Clinical and Health Centre in Mitrovica North.

The Health Centre in addition to the medicaments, needs the food, technical and hygienic material, while Ivanovic pointed out to the newly created problems with suppliers who are increasing the prices of their products due to imposed taxes.

“We have a situation that suppliers of some sort of food, for example, bread, milk and similar are now asking questions about changing the prices, given current conditions and taxes that were increased drastically. Therefore, we would face major issues, because we would not be able to buy the necessary amount of food due to increased prices,” Ivanovic warned.
