Simic: Announcement of new Pristina’s measures an attempt to ghettoize Serbs (Tanjug, TV Most, RTS)

Vice President of Serbian List Igor Simic said late on Sunday that the latest statement by Kosovo Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Izmi Zeka on the preparation of a ban on movement of vehicles from central Serbia is an attempt by Pristina to threaten with a total blockade movement of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija or their ghettoization.

As he added, the story about the freedom of movement that was supposed to be guaranteed to everyone in the world, does not apply when it comes to Serbs: “On one side, we have a statement from Zeka, and on the other, once again silence of the international community”.

Speaking about the situation in Mitrovica North, Simic noted that high tensions and threats are coming daily. “Be it as it may, we appeal primarily to the international representatives to use the extremely strong influence they have in Pristina to put an end to this kind of acts,” Simic underlined.

Izmi Zeka stated on Saturday that Prisina authorities, after 100 percent taxes on goods from central Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, have prepared additional sanctions against Belgrade in terms of measures that would apply to the vehicles from central Serbia.

“I’m categorical about the fact that, at the moment, apart from tariffs, we need to impose the measures also on vehicles. We have already prepared all necessary documentation for the ban on vehicles from Serbia” Zeka said.
