Serbia to open seven new embassies and consulates (Vecernje Novosti, RTV)
Serbian diplomatic and consular network should get expanded this year by seven more representative offices in the Caribbean region, South America, Middle and Far East, Belgrade-based daily Vecernje Novosti reported.
The daily writes Serbia would open new embassies and consulates in Trinidad and Tobago, Suriname, Venezuela, Vietnam, Papua New Guinea, Armenia and Palestine. The daily added places for new diplomatic offices were chosen in line with the realization of one of the most important Serbian foreign policy goals and it is to preserve sovereignty and territorial integrity.
At the moment, Serbia has 69 embassies, 7 permanent missions and 24 consulates.
