Director of the Kosovo Anti-Corruption Agency Shaip Havolli
announced that a much wider circle of people will have to report their assets
as of next year, including inspectors, public procurement officers, professors,
doctors, customs officials and officials of the Tax Administration of Kosovo,
reported Belgrade based daily Danas, quoting RTK2.

Since March 1st, the process of regular assets report of
high-ranking civil servants has commenced, who are legally obliged to reports
their assets by March 31, RTK2 reported. Havolli told Radio Kosovo that in the
first 15 days a small number of public officials performed their legal duty.

"So far, the legal obligation has been fulfilled by 498
officials, out of a total of 4,839. Unfortunately, most officials report
property at the end, and it present many difficulties for us," he said.

Havolli said that the change of the law would also introduce
other categories of officials who have to report the property.

Director of the Kosovo Judicial Institute, Ehat Miftaraj,
says that the courage and readiness lack to carry out an appropriate check and
investigation of the unlawful wealth of officials.
