Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti said on Friday that during that week the Kosovo Police “confiscated a substantial amount of armaments, as pictured, which include weapons and grenades in the north of the country”. “Calls for inspection come from ordinary citizens who alarm the police. Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani met with the chair of the NATO Military Committee, Rob Bauer, at the Halifax International Security Forum, and expressed deep gratitude for NATO’s pivotal role in Kosovo’s path to freedom and its unwavering commitment to peace and stability in our region. “Highlighted the critical need for continued cooperation in addressing security challenges in the Western Balkans, while expressing appreciation for KFOR’s presence as a crucial security deterrent,” Osmani said in a post on X.

Lajcak: Engaged in important discussions on dialogue and path forward (media)

EU Special Representative for the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, Miroslav Lajcak, said on Sunday that “the past two weeks have been both productive and insightful, with visits to Geneva, Tirana, and Paris”. “With my interlocutors at the International Committee of the Red Cross, the Quai d’Orsay and elsewhere, I engaged in important discussions on the Dialogue and the path forward. These conversations are critical in shaping the work my team is doing as we prepare for the upcoming Chief Negotiators' meeting in December. I’m looking forward to the coming period,” he added.

Haziri: Too much to talk about Osmani’s return to LDK (Klan Kosova)

Deputy leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Lutfi Haziri, has ruled out the idea of President Vjosa Osmani’s eventual return to the party. “A President does not look backwards. She sees the end of her mandate or tries to win another mandate. It is too much to talk about returning to a political party,” he was quoted as saying.

Haziri also said that Osmani needs to be above the parties. “Vjosa Osmani is President of the Republic, and she is above the parties. She should execute her constitutional role and nothing more. Three years ago, we trusted her role with a single security: to carry out her constitutional duties and not allow to be part of Vetevendosje’s political agendas,” he argued.

Serbian List: Continuation of police repression against Serbs, international factor to react (Kosovo Online, Tanjug, KiM radio)

On the occasion of the arrest of the director of the organization New Social Initiative Jovana Radosavljevic on the Bistrica Bridge and three believers near the Visoki Decani monastery, the Serbian List condemned the continuation of police repression against the Serbs in Kosovo and sent a request to stop the institutional violence against the Serbian people.

On the occasion of those cases, the SL requested an immediate reaction from international representatives.

"Aware of the extent to which the Kosovo Police has become a political lever of the regime in Pristina, we demand that international representatives react as soon as possible, especially after today's arrest of civic activist Jovana Radosavljevic and three believers who were detained because of license plate frames," said the statement of the Serbian List.

As pointed out, the political campaign of Kosovo PM Albin Kurti may lead to other ethnically motivated attacks. It was added that it was the responsibility of international institutions to react and stop such events.

"The Kurti regime's showdown with the Serbs is becoming a hallmark of its political campaign and there is a real danger that it will fuel other ethnically motivated attacks and lead this region into a spiral of undesirable events. That is why it is the responsibility of KFOR, EULEX, EU, UNMIK, OSCE and the embassies of Quint to finally react and stop events like today's," added the Serbian List.

NGO Executive briefly detained for alleged unauthorized recording at Bistrica checkpoint (KoSSev, N1, Kosovo Online, RTS, Blic)

Jovana Radosavljevic, executive director of the NGO New Social Initiative (NSI), was detained on Sunday and faced a misdemeanor charge for allegedly making an unauthorized recording at the Bistrica checkpoint. While police insist the incident violated prohibitions against filming the area, Radosavljevic contends she was not recording the checkpoint itself but activated her phone’s camera for personal safety due to past uncomfortable encounters at the same location.

Police Intervention and Detention

Kosovo Police confirmed Radosavljevic’s detention earlier today, stating, “Filming is prohibited, and she was aware she could not record. She refused to comply when instructed to stop.” She was then instructed to go to the police station in Zvečan for questioning, where she was later released.

Speaking to KoSSev after her release, Radosavljević clarified that she is not facing criminal charges but a misdemeanor and has not yet received any penalty.

The Incident

Radosavljevic described the events leading to her detention. She was traveling to Leposavic when her vehicle was stopped at the Bistrica checkpoint for a routine inspection around 1 p.m. She claimed that an Albanian police officer grew agitated upon noticing her phone, mounted on a hands-free holder, recording video.

“The officer started shouting and demanded to know why my camera was on,” she recounted. Despite his demands to stop recording, she refused. The situation escalated when plainclothes officers arrived and demanded her phone.

Near the Visoki Decani monastery, three people arrested for the inscription "Kosovo is Serbia" (Kosovo online, KoSSev, Blic, RTS, media)

Three people were arrested near the Visoki Decani monastery because of the inscription "Kosovo is Serbia" on their license plates, reported Kosovo Online, citing Reporteri.

As stated by the Kosovo Police, the vehicle in question had a Montenegrin license plate, and the arrested persons have been detained for up to 48 hours.

"The police came across a car with Montenegrin license plates in a parking lot near the monastery, on which was written 'Kosovo is Serbia.' The police managed to identify the suspects and after intensive work they arrested three people, they were interviewed and by the decision of the state prosecutor they were detained for up to 48 hours," said Fadil Gashi, the police spokesman for the Pec region.

As he added, the case is being investigated and described as "inciting hatred".

Visoki Decani Monastery celebrated today the glory of its founder, Saint Stephen of Decani. The liturgy was attended by thousands of people from Kosovo, central Serbia, and the region.

Petkovic: The police base near the Bistrica bridge an additional instrument for the oppression of Serbs (KiM radio)

Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, said on the occasion of the start of the construction of another police base near the Bistrica bridge in Leposavic that Albanian policemen are located in the north illegally and contrary to the agreements reached within the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.

Petkovic stated that he expects the international community to urgently take measures to protect the Serbian people. He assessed that ''Kosovo's Interior Minister Xhelal Svecla intends to open another illegal police base for harassing and shooting Serbs in the north, near the notorious Bistrica bridge near Leposavic, by laying the foundation stone''.

"Because what they falsely present in Pristina as a security infrastructure facility is nothing more than an additional instrument for the oppression and expulsion of the Serbian people," said Petkovic among other things, reported KiM radio.

"The only job of Kurti's police in the north of Kosovo and Metohija is to carry out daily terror against Serbs, and the Bistrica Bridge is known as the black spot of the north of Kosovo and Metohija, where several Serbs were shot by the Kosovo police, and no one was ever held accountable," he added, recalling the case of Milan Jovanovic, who was shot while transporting dishes, and those who shot were never sanctioned.

Zaporozac questioned by police: "I was fined for a peaceful protest walk for the rights of Serbian Children" (Kosovo Online)

Ivan Zaporozac, President of the PA of Kosovska Mitrovica, was questioned on Saturday at the police station in North Mitrovica over a protest walk held on World Children’s Day, reported Kosovo Online.

As he stated to Kosovo Online, around 12 p.m. on Saturday, he received a phone call from officers at the North Mitrovica police station requesting him to appear for an informational interview immediately.

"I responded to the summons and was questioned for just under 30 minutes. During that time, I was issued a fine for participating in a peaceful walk aimed at raising awareness about the violation of the rights of Serbian children in Kosovo and Metohija on the occasion of International Children’s Day," Zaporozac told Kosovo Online.

Zaporozac expressed pride in being part of the protest walk.

"I am proud to have walked with my fellow citizens that day because we are well aware of how our children are targeted—suffering harassment, beatings by Kosovo police, shootings, and violations of their basic rights, with no one ever held accountable for their suffering. This is an attempt to intimidate us, to deter us from peacefully fighting for our rights, for Stefan, Milos, Nikola, Mihajlo, Dara, Kristijan, and all the other children in Kosovo and Metohija. My place was with my fellow citizens that day, as both a human being and, especially, as a parent. I am proud of that, and this fine will not deter me from fighting for a better future for all children in this region," Zaporozac stated.

“UÇK” mark removed from Google Maps in North Mitrovica (KoSSev)

The “UÇK” label, which recently appeared on Google Maps in North Mitrovica, is no longer visible on the platform, reported KoSSev.

Earlier this week, KoSSev reported on the appearance of this marker. It was located near two significant cultural landmarks: the Church of St. Dimitrije and a monument honoring miners, fallen fighters, and victims of occupation during World War II on Kukavica Hill.

The Google Maps marker, when active, directed users to an area situated between these two prominent landmarks—both among the most visited sites in this part of the city.

When reporters visited the location on Friday, they arrived at a leveling water reservoir operated by the city’s water utility.

Despite thorough observation, there was no visible indication or object at the site that would explain the connection to the “UÇK” label.

As of Sunday, two days later, the marker has disappeared from Google Maps without any official explanation or acknowledgment from the platform.
