The paper reports that around 40 percent of women fit for work, are unemployed in Kosovo, while the employment rate among women of working age is about 13% while for men is 40%. These data were published in the latest report of the Kosovo Statistics Agency, called "Women and Men", which states that nearly 50% of employed women work in the public sector and service occupations.
The first regional Conference for Education and Health Promotion was held today in Pristina, where it was said that the importance of health promotion is key to Kosovo institutions. The conference was attended by representatives of regional countries. Prime Minister Isa Mustafa said that health is very important and together with economic development and education are the priorities of the government program. He said that Kosovo aims to become part of the World Health Organisation.
The Ministry for Communities and Returns has allocated €3 million for return projects in the four municipalities in northern Kosovo. Communities and Returns Minister Dalibor Jevtic said that his ministry has allocated half of its budget for projects in the north and he hopes that implementation of these projects would be done in line with the set deadlines, so that the funds don’t end up as a budget surplus. Jevtic said that only 700 Serb IDPs would return to Kosovo during 2015.
Kosovo’s European Integration Minister Bekim Collaku, during the preparatory meeting of the National Committee for Investment said that all projects are for infrastructure and that the EU has already donated € 1 billion for these investments. This committee met in order to discuss key infrastructure investments and co-financing of projects by the European Union.
Germany on Tuesday will return about 280 migrants to Kosovo, who were part of the last wave of migration. Valon Krasniqi, migration official at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kosovo said that 209 people will return with force, while the rest are being returned voluntarily. Krasniqi also said that since 1 January this year, so far the number of persons returning from other western countries has reached 7500, 64% of them have returned voluntarily.

Kosovo Finance Minister Avdullah Hoti received today in a meeting the Deputy Managing Director of International Monetary Fund (IMF),Min Zhu. During the meeting it was discussed for enhancing cooperation between Kosovo and the International Monetary Fund, economic and financial developments in Kosovo, and the possibility of signing an Agreement between Kosovo and the International Monetary Fund. Zhu said that the IMF mission team will start negotiations on a new program between the IMF and Kosovo.

A business development training workshop organized by USAID gathered some 15 women, Kosovo Albanians, Kosovo Serbs and Kosovo Turks from Zubin Potok, Zvečan/Zveçan and North Mitrovica, to exchange mutual experience in this sector and learn from each other. The training is one of many to be organized for women in business that aims to increase employability opportunities for women of the area. The Municipality of Shtime/Stimlje in recent years has managed to make quite large investments in the field of education, and at the same time to create conditions and higher standard in order to increase the interest of children to attend school. Also the interest of children from the Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian (RAE) communities to continue their education has increased.
