GI SDP: 1730 citizens have signed petition (Radio kontakt plus)

Civic Initiative Freedom, Democracy, Justice (GI SDP) announced they have submitted a petition signed by 1,730 citizens to name the square or Sutjeska Street after leader of this initiative, Oliver Ivanović who perished tragically, Radio kontakt plus reported.

The petition was submitted on Thursday, last week, at Mitrovica North Municipal Assembly session.

Slain Kosovo Serb’s party urges investigation (BETA, TV N1)

The party of the assassinated Kosovo Serb leader Oliver Ivanovic, the Civic Initiative SDP, urged today all investigative services and especially the EULEX, to intensify the probe into the January 16 murder.

In a statement, they appealed to both Belgrade and Pristina institutions “to use their authority and not allow that the perpetrators remain anonymous and unpunished.”

“Tomorrow would be exactly four months since the murder of the leader of Civic Initiative “Freedom, Democracy, Justice” (GI SDP) Oliver Ivanović in Mitrovica North, and there is no progress in the investigation,” official of CI SDP Ksenija Bozovic told BETA news agency.

“We are disappointed and embittered, although from the day one we have claimed that the killer will never be found” Bozovic said, expressing dissatisfaction because the investigation, as she said, was increasingly being diluted.

Civic Initiative SDP: Three months since Oliver Ivanovic murder, investigation without results (Serbian media)

Civic Initiative Freedom, Democracy, Justice (GI SDP) issued a press release reminding the public that today is three months since the assassination of their leader, Oliver Ivanovic, and the investigation has not yielded any results yet, Serbian media reported.

GI SDP said they have been asking on a daily basis responsible authorities “who killed Oliver Ivanovic, but there is no answer, and there are no suspects or detainees”.

One of directions into an investigation of Oliver Ivanovic murder leads towards possibility that order givers and the perpetrators are the same persons who have organized the murder of Dmitrije Janicijevic, four years ago in Mitrovica North, Belgrade based daily Vecernje Novosti reported over the weekend.

According to the daily “there are many similarities between the cowardly murder of Oliver Ivanovic and his godfather that directed part of the investigation towards identifying possible connections between these two cases”.

Oliver Ivanovic’s trial to continue tomorrow (Kontakt plus radio)

Trial to the Leader of the Civic Initiative Freedom, Democracy, Justice (GI SDP), Oliver Ivanovic would continue tomorrow at the Basic Court in Mitrovica, Kontakt plus radio reported.

In a statement given to the radio, Ivanovic said he expects this trial to be much faster than the previous one, not that painful, adding, he expects a just and fair decision at the end of the trial.

I have nothing to do with mentioned crimes, Ivanovic underlined, adding he expects to be freed.
