Kosovo court extends detention for 31 arrested in May (Serbian media)

The Kosovo Appellant Court rejected defence appeal against the detention of those arrested on May 28 and extended the custody for 31 men suspected of corruption, smuggling and abuse of office, the Beta news agency reported on Thursday.

The ruling said the detention had to be extended due to the possibilities of suspects tampering with evidence, influencing the witnesses or fleeing.

Complaint against Jevtic: There are no elements of criminal activity (Vecernje Novosti)

The Court of Appeals in Pristina dismissed complaint against the Minister for Communities and Returns, Dalibor Jevtic.

The court found the complaint as groundless. The case was initiated by the Kosovo Special Prosecution against Dalibor Jevtic and three his co-associates over alleged misuse of official authority, Novosti further reported.

Although, Basic Court in Pristina, dismissed the indictment in July this year, the Kosovo Special Prosecution submitted a complaint to the Court of Appeals that rejected the complaint as groundless.
