Kostić condemned stoning of Serbian house in Lipljan (KIM Radio)

We strongly condemn the stoning of Ana Radović's house from Lipljan/Lipjan and request  from Kosovo Police to urgently identify and bring to justice the perpetrators, said Mayor of Gračanica/Graçanice Vladeta Kostić.

"The attack on the property of Ana Radović rightfully brought the fear among the Serbs who live in this town for their personal and family's security, therefore and their survival in this town," said Kostić.

Mayors of municipalities of Pristina region yesterday signed a declaration on promotion of the interethnic dialogue. By signing the declaration mayors of Pristina, Gračanica/Graçanicë, Kosovo Polje/Fushë Kosovë, Štimlje/Shtime, Lipljan/Lipjan and Obilić/Obilliq have pledged for promoting interethnic cooperation and dialogue in those local self-governments.

Vehicle owned by municipal lawyer torched (Tanjug)

A vehicle owned by a municipal lawyer of Gračanica/Graçanicë in Kosovo, was set on fire last night. Municipal officials had been receiving threats for months, but the police did not manage to identify who were behind them, the RTS reported late Thursday.

This is the third or fourth time that vehicles or property have been torched, said the Mayor of Gračanica/Graçanicë Vladeta Kostic, who hopes that the perpetrators will finally be brought to justice.

The Mayor of Gračanica/Graçanicë Municipality Vladeta Kostic yesterday strongly condemned desecration of the Church of St. Demetrius in village Susica in that municipality, calling on authorities to immediately find the perpetrators of attacks on the Serbian Orthodox Church property. “It is not the first time that the church is burglarized and that perpetrators have not been found,” said Kostic and added that it is a high time to put an end to events that are causing anxiety and undermining security in the Gračanica/Graçanicë municipality.

Vehicle owned by the director of hospital in Gracanica set on fire (KIM Radio)

Last night, around midnight, unknown perpetrators have set on fire a vehicle owned by the director of Hospital in Gračanica/Graçanicë, Nebojsa Milovanovic, and left threatening message at the entrance door of his house in village Donja Gusterica in Gračanica/Graçanicë municipality. Milovanovic said he believes that the incident has a political background and added that this will not deter him from carrying out his duties.

Kostic against Kosovo’s membership in UNESCO (GazetaExpress)

The Mayor of Gracanica, Vladeta Kostic, told Pristina-based Rrokum TV that he is against Kosovo’s membership in UNESCO because he doesn’t believe that the cultural heritage that was damaged and burned in 2004, would be preserved now.  He said that there is no need for UNESCO to take care of the Serb heritage monuments since they are protected with the Ahtisaari plan.  "I am against Kosovo's membership in UNESCO… I think there are other issues more important than UNESCO membership.

Kostic: We supported the Brussels agreement because of ZSO (RTK2)

"The only reason due to which Serbs supported the Brussels agreement was the establishment of the Association / Community of Serb municipalities (ZSO). If this topic will not be discussed in Brussels within a reasonable period, it can produce much bigger problems for Kosovo society and the international community," said Mayor of Gracanica, Vladeta Kostic. According to him, at the next meeting in Brussels between Prime Ministers Aleksandar Vucic and Isa Mustafa should be agreed concrete solutions.
