Kosovo Anti-Corruption Agency director Hasan Preteni sent a letter to Kosovo’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Petrit Selimi, saying that holding the post of the deputy minister and coordinator of Millennium Corporation Challenges constitutes a conflict of interest.
The head of the Kosovo Anti-Corruption Agency, Hasan Preteni said today that corruption is one of the major concerns in Kosovo. According to Preteni, in the Anti-Corruption Agency report to be published in March, Kosovo scores 3.3 out of 10 in fighting corruption, same as the Dominican Republic and Ethiopia, and is one of the countries where corruption is not being efficiently tackled.
On the International Anti-Corruption Day [9 December], head of Kosovo Anti-Corruption Agency, Hasan Preteni, said that the year 2014 has not shown any significant progress in fight against corruption in Kosovo. Radio Kosova reports that according to Preteni, the Transparency International Report and Progress Report are unpleasant signals for Kosovo. "The field of combating corruption still remains problematic by the fact that this year we had a small number of indictments in the corruption field,” said Preteni.
