Bahtiri and Rakic to discuss River Iber bridge in Brussels (Telegrafi.com)

Mitrovica mayor, Agim Bahtiri met with the mayor of Mitrovica North municipality, Goran Rakic and head of the Administrative Office in the north, Adriana Hodzic.

 During this meeting which lasted almost three hours, they discussed the general situation in both parts of the city, assessing that the current security situation is calm and with tendency to relax further. They also discussed continuance of the cooperation on the issues of joint interests for Mitrovica people.

Around 9.000 unemployed in North Mitrovica (Tanjug)

Around 9,000 persons are unemployed in North Mitrovica, whereas most needed ones are those who finished pharmacists and radiologists.

Most of the 8.646 unemployed are with the secondary education, 56 per cent of them. The head of the Department for Employment and Carrier Planning Mihajlo Petković stated that the most needed profile is of those who finished pharmaceutics, who are most look for by employers, and  radiologists.

Police arrest youths that wanted to replace Serbian with Albanian flag (Kosovapress)

The Kosovo Police in Mitrovica arrested three Albanian youths on Wednesday evening. Unidentified sources told the news site that the youths were planning to replace the Serbian flag with an Albanian flag on the Mitrovica castle. Police seized arms and Albanian and Serbian flags from the suspects. A Kosovo Police spokesperson, who confirmed the information, appealed to all citizens, especially to parents of youths, to watch out for any action that can cause tensions or threaten the security situation and people’s lives.

Incident in North Mitrovica, three Albanian teenagers arrested (RTK2/Vesti)

Three armed Albanian teenagers were arrested yesterday after 6 PM, following the incident between them and a group of Serb youngsters in North Mitrovica. A gun, two knives, protection mask, scarf and flag of the so called greater Albanian were found in their possession. Kosovo Police communicated that that bigger incident was prevented by the police patrol that was in vicinity of a place where two groups clashed.

There won’t be judiciary of Serbs and Albanians (Vesti)

Kosovo-based media in the Albanian language report that official Pristina and international community are hiding the fact that signing of the agreement on creation of the integrated Albanian-Serbian judiciary in Kosovo was futile work and that joint courts and prosecutors office will not take place in the near future.

Agreement on judiciary was signed on 10 February in Brussels by prime ministers of Serbia and Kosovo, Aleksandar Vucic and Isa Mustafa. Integrated judiciary is due to become operational as of 1 September.
