“Warnings to the general public that latest requests of the European Union are creepy and that Albanians are preparing something worse for us than recognition of independent Kosovo were quite clear to Aleksandar Vučić and earlier, because those are results of the reached Brussels Agreement. The time has come now for the truth to be told and responsibility shifted on someone else,” reads the statement of the Assembly of the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija (AP KIM) forwarded to media.

Paintings in the Kosovo parliament lobby depicting motives of the “Greater Albania”, which were uncovered by MPs from Self-Determination Movement couple days ago, have been covered again.

On Thursday MPs from the ranks of the Self-Determination movement used scalpels to uncover the paintings in the Kosovo parliament lobby, which were covered in 2008 upon request filed by Kosovo Serb and UNMIK.

UNESCO Executive Council adopted the agenda on Monday without voting which includes the point concerning the proposal for Kosovo's membership in the organisation, but the real issue is not embodied in members reaching a consensus, it is a precedent, Serbian Ambassador in UNESCO Darko Tanaskovic said.

 “I think that it is time for a national consensus on how to act further with regard to Pristina, especially because it seems that the West is no longer willing to allow the name Pristina to appear in official documents,” Nikolic told reporters in Belgrade.

Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Michael Davenport stated on Monday, commenting on the draft negotiating platform for Chapter 35 concerning Kosovo, that the document does not contain a request for recognition of independence of Kosovo, instead it covers the implementation of obligations deriving from the so far reached agreements in Brussels.

The UNESCO Executive Board has included today in its agenda the proposal to recommend Kosovo’s membership at this organization.

UNESCO spokesperson George Papagiannis told Tanjug that the UNESCO Executive Council decided today to add on the agenda a draft recommendation for Kosovo's admission.

Asked whether the Executive Council has adopted the agenda and whether it included the Kosovo's request, he said that the agenda was adopted, and added that the issue would be discussed at the meeting of the UNESCO Executive Council on October 21.

UNESCO Executive Council is set to decide on today’s session in Paris whether proposal with the recommendation for Kosovo’s membership in that organization will be on the daily agenda of the body. State secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Veljko Odalovic, said to RTS that he expects wisdom to prevail over politics and that Kosovo’s request won’t be put on the agenda.
