A battle for Kosovo is taking place in the faraway Africa. Serbia’s Foreign Minister has traveled to Madagascar, where he will try to prevent the plan of the President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, who is in a new diplomatic mission of convincing as many states as possible to recognize the independence of Kosovo.

President Thaçi has traveled to participate at the International Summit of Francophonie  which will be held in Madagascar from 22 to 26 November. He will be lobbying personally for recognition of Kosovo’s Independence. Around eighty countries are expected to participate at the Summit, where the French President Francois Hollande will also be present.

According to Serbian media, the intention of Dačić’s visit at the Summit in Madagascar is to prevent new recognitions of Kosovo.
