Head of the State Commission for Demarcation and Maintenance of the State Border, Shpejtim Bulliqi, reported today to the Assembly Commission for European Integration, on the findings on demarcation of the border with Montenegro.

Members of this Commission stressed that the previous commission did an unprofessional job  and that they were not transparent.

Blerta Deliu-Kodra head of the Commission for European Integration, said that ratification of the border is a condition for liberalization of visas, therefore it would have been reasonable to hear about the demarcation process.

“Our duty was to find new facts through effective analyses or effective control. We have worked for a month and a half also in the field to research material within and outside of the country. We are concerned about this process too, and we are working in an efficient manner to come up with final results,” he said.

Bulliqi criticized the work of the previous commission. “Meha commission exceeded its competencies, because it was established for demarcations and not new borderlines,” Bulliqi said.

Bulliqi said that their report is not completed yet.

Zejnullah Gruda, member of the State Commission for Demarcation and Maintenance of the State Border, said his findings proved that Kosovo and Montenegro did not reach an agreement on demarcation but on the border.
