According to Belgrade based daily Vecernje Novosti, during the upcoming visit of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic to Beijing next week, the business of the century will be concluded, adding that a financial package with more than ten contracts will be initialled.

The daily describes the forthcoming three-day visit of President Aleksandar Vucic to China as a strengthening of political ties between Serbia and China, but also as new, historic chapter in economic cooperation, as it should provide a package of investments worth as much as $ 3 billion US dollars.

Vecernje Novosti adds that Vucic will talk with the Chinese state top, President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Li Keqiang, in separate meetings, in private, apart from economic issues, and about the issue of Kosovo, that is, support of Beijing in international institutions in defense of Serb interests around the Kosovo issue.

On Thursday, President Vucic assessed his upcoming visit to China as one of the most important he ever had, both economically and politically:

- I am proud of the fact that I will meet with President of China Xi Jinping for the fifth time. I will meet for the fourth time with Prime Minister Li Keqiang. This is a great honour for our country. We will try to confirm that President Xi also insert Serbia, this year if he can, or in the first half of the next year, into his travel program. Then I would be the only president who met the Head of the Chinese state twice.

Novosti reports that the head of state and Xi Jinping will initialize at least ten agreements Tuesday, September 18th, in Beijing, whereby Serbia would provide capital investments in the fields of infrastructure, transport, agriculture, industry and information technologies and opening thousands of new jobs, adding that the value of this contracts exceeds 1,5 billion US dollars.
