Dacic: It is good Thaci knows Serbia will not recognize Kosovo (Tanjug, KIM Radio)
“Serbia cannot accept unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo and it is good that president of provisional Kosovo institutions Hashim Thaci knows that, Serbian Foreign Affairs Minister, Ivica Dacic told Tanjug news agency.
“Serbia will not recognize Kosovo, and then continue talks. That would certainly not happen,” Dacic added, responding to the question if Serbia, as Thaci claims, would first recognize Kosovo and then talk about delineation.
He recalled that Thaci himself earlier said there is no solution without Serbia and that Serbia will not recognize Kosovo independence.
According to Dacic, unresolved Kosovo issue threatens to block development perspectives of both Belgrade and Pristina. He touched upon border corrections, saying the international principle on the matter is clear “do not change borders by force.”
“Nobody intends to change borders by force, there would be an agreement, or not,” Dacic underlined.
He added, everybody except Great Britain and Germany support reaching compromise solution, and do not interfere how it would look like.
“Germany and Great Britain oppose change of borders, and Serbia principally agrees with them,” Dacic said, asking since when this principle became valid – since break up of Yugoslavia or unilateral declaration of Kosovo independence?”
