Brnabic: Not weapons and army, but education and schools (Tanjug, B92)
Our focus is on schools and education, and not on the army and weapons, Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said, adding neither yesterday, nor ever before she was calling for war, B92 reports.
Brnabic told this to the journalists in Belgrade, adding she regrets the way how certain international media interpreted her yesterday’s statement in a sense that Serbia is threatening with something.
“In my speech, where I urged for peace and reason ten times, they took out half of the sentence. It turned out Serbia is threatening with something, and I am sorry about that, however this shows how deeply perception about us is rooted, and we must fight against it,” Brnabic stressed.
She said nowhere in the international media she could read about the fact that Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija do not get newspapers in their own language, and we talk about Europe and XXI century.
No one also writes about Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija would wait for Christmas without knowing if they would have heating or medicine, and neither Reuters nor AP reported if Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija have their basic human rights respected.
“I appeal now to inform the people abroad what is the fundamental civilization norm, regardless you love more Belgrade or Pristina, Serbs or Albanians, and once more I call for peace and reason,” Brnabic noted.
