Daily contacts agreed between the Army of Serbia and KFOR (RTS)
President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg agreed in today's telephone conversation that the preservation of peace and stability is of the utmost interest to Serbia and the entire region, says the Serbian Presidency, reports Radio Television of Serbia (RTS).
President Vucic thanked General Stoltenberg for his statement that it was not the time for the formation of army of Kosovo, i.e. that the intention of Kosovo "to transform its security forces into the army comes at a wrong time," reads the statement of the Serbian presidency.
RTS reports that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic expressed his anxiety over Kosovo's intention to form an army and because such step could carry danger for the survival of the Serbian people in Kosovo and the security of Serbia and peace and stability in the region.
The two interlocutors agreed to stay in permanent and direct contact, reports RTS and adds that the Serbian Armed Forces would re-establish day-to-day contacts with the KFOR forces in Kosovo in order to exchange information and monitor the development of the situation.
