McAllister: Vucic and Thaci raised dialogue to new level (Tanjug, Radio KIM)

European Parliament Rapporteur for Serbia, David McAllister urged Pristina authorities to revoke the decision on tariffs on goods from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, Tanjug news agency reported. He noted it is not easy, however Aleksandar Vucic and Hashim Thaci have raised the dialogue to the new level. He called on the both sides to continue dialogue in order to advance on their respective paths to the EU. “Decision of Pristina authorities to introduce 100 percent tariffs on the goods from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina is a clear breach of CEFTA and Association and Stabilization Agreement. I urge Pristina authorities to revoke this decision in order, I hope, for dialogue to continue,” McAllister said. He also added, the EU clearly said it is necessary to reach a legally binding agreement between Belgrade and Pristina, and for that to happen a further normalization of relations through the dialogue in necessary. “I understand that both sides have concerns, I understand it is not easy, but I also want to emphasize that the two presidents Aleksandar Vucic and Hashim Thaci have raised the dialogue to the new level,” McAllister said.
