Brnabic: Belgrade-Pristina dialogue to continue after tax abolition (Serbian Government, B92, Tanjug)

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic and US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Matthew Palmer spoke on Wednesday in Sarajevo. The conversation was about the current situation in Kosovo and Metohija, tariffs and the possibilities for the continuation of dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, the Serbian Government announced. After the meeting, Brnabic told the Tanjug agency that she thanked Palmer for the fact that the United States has unambiguously and directly condemned the introduction of tariffs on Serbian goods by Pristina and urged it to abolish them. In many things, the United States reacted even more resolutely and stricter than Brussels and took certain measures against Pristina. We still have different views on what the future of the dialogue and relations between Belgrade and Pristina should look like, but it is always good that we discuss that subject, she said. The Prime Minister Brnabic said she conveyed to Palmer the clear position of Serbia and it is that Pristina must abolish the tariffs so the dialogue with Belgrade could continue and emphasized that for Serbia this a red line that it cannot cross.
