Dacic: I hope Macron would end game related to Pristina tariffs (Danas, Blic)
Serbian Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic said today he hopes that French President Emmanuel Macron, who is coming to visit Belgrade, would end a “game” related to the Pristina’s tariffs and offer assurances it would end soon, Danas daily reports.
Responding to a question, if France can influence Pristina to revoke the tariffs in order to continue the negotiations with Belgrade, Dacic said he hopes to hear that response from the French President.
“No one can convince me that Western Europe, and one of the leaders of it France, same as USA, that indebted Pristina so much by advocating for Kosovo independence, for eight months already cannot make Ramush Haradinaj revoke one shameful administrative decision that halted the most important political topic,” Dacic underlined.
“That is why I hope French President Macron would end this game and offer us assurances that this shameful and troublesome episode would soon be over,” Dacic noted.
He also said Macron’s visit is one of the most important visits of the foreign statesmen in the last decade, adding Belgrade places great significance to it since it has major expectations.
