Djuric on change of government in Pristina: Serbs have nothing to look forward to (KIM radio, RTS)
Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Marko Djuric said this morning in the RTS morning news that it was necessary for Pristina to abolish taxes in order for dialogue to resume and any kind of normalization of relations to start.
Djuric said that when it comes to the change of government in Pristina, Serbs have nothing to look forward to.
"Whoever is in power will be one of the separatists' representatives. It is very likely that they will be represented by a well-known person, someone who is competing who will take a harder position against the Serbs. Ours is to work for the Serbs and we do this through 149 support projects,” said Djuric.
Speaking about the prosecution of people who committed war crimes in Kosovo, Djuric said that Serbia has always been consistent in punishing war crimes regardless of nationality.
He reminded that Serbia very firmly refuses to give up the prosecution because the families, he added, deserve justice.
The Office for the Collection and Documentation of War Crimes against Albanians in Djakovica submitted 12 lawsuits against Serbs to the Special Prosecutor's Office in Pristina, charging them with war crimes.
Djuric said Belgrade warned of a 'campaign' against Serbs.
He thinks the attacks on President Vucic's family have to do with his attitude towards the Kosovo issue.
