Detention of 28 persons Kosovo police arrested in north extended for two more months(Tanjug, B92)
Basic Court in Pristina has extended detention on remand for 28 persons arrested in May this year in the action of Kosovo police special forces in the four northern municipalities, Tanjug news agency reported.
One of the defense lawyers Milos Delevic told Radio kontakt plus that the detention on remand was extended for two more months, adding that they will file complaint regarding this decision.
“The basis for the detention is allegedly danger of escaping, impeding the investigation, influencing witnesses and gravity of the criminal acts they are suspected of,” Delevic noted.
He also said all arrested persons have been interviewed, but according to the information lawyers have, all witnesses have not been interviewed yet.
Kosovo police in May this year arrested 28 persons, of whom 23 are Serbs, police officers and civilians, suspected of allegedly taking part in organized crime groups, misuse of official authority, bribing and smuggling of the goods.
