Djuric: House's burning aims to intimidation of Serbs (KIM radio)
The Office for Kosovo and Metohija condemns the burning of a Serb house in the municipality of Klina, reports KIM radio.
"The goal is to intimidate the few Serbs left to live in the city and surrounding villages," the Office said in a statement.
It is clear that in this, as in the previous cases of destruction of Serb property in Klina, there was no self-ignition, the statement said.
"The world needs to hear that two decades since the end of the conflict in Kosovo, the Serb houses have had continued to be placed on fire and that the scourge of hatred and extremism in our southern province has not been suppressed," the Office said in a press release.
The statement added that 'in the past year, only in the Klina municipality were registered ten arson of Serb houses and other attacks on Serbian property.
The office asked Albanian political actors "not to use the province's election campaign to send hate messages and incite attacks on Serbs and their property, because peace and coexistence are vital to the future of both nations."
