Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Djuric says that Pristina, by forbidding representatives of the Serbian state from participating in the Kosovo election campaign with Kosovo Serbs, formally legalized segregation and apartheid and declared Serbs in Kosovo a second-class citizen, reports Radio Television of Serbia (RTS).

Djuric adds that the fact that only Serbs were forbidden to support other Serbs, and that members of the Bundestag could attend Albanian rallies, supporting self-determination leader Albin Kurti, who openly advocates the creation of Greater Albania, and opposes dialogue with Belgrade.

"It is not a problem for him to come to Kosovo and participate in the campaign, and for Serbs it is banned. These are not double standards but segregation, apartheid and proclamation of Serbs as second-class citizens," Djuric told reporters.

He adds that it showed that one rule applies to Albanians and another to Serbs whose rights are directly trampled.

Djuric stated that he expects that there will be reasonable people in the international community and others who will respond to this type of segregation.

"This should not unhinge our people and they need to know that the best answer is to go to the polls on October 6th as massively as possible, to win with our persistence, perseverance, determination to fight with energy, heart and love for Serbia," Djuric emphasized.
