Two Kosovo Serb from Babin Most were sentenced to a total of 22 years in prison for committing a war crime against the civilian population.
The Appellate Court in Pristina reversed the decision of Municipal Court in Mitrovica North and sentenced two Kosovo Serbs Jovica Dejanovic (54) and Djordje Bojkovic (72) to a total of 22 years in prison for committing a war crime against the civilian population. Dejanovic was sentenced to imprisonment of 12 years and Bojkovic 10 years.
Lawyer Ljubomir Pantovic told Tanjug that it is a legal scandal and "peacetime crime against justice" at the expense of two Serb from Babin Most near Obilica", which is why he appealed to the Supreme Court of Kosovo.
Pantovic says Bojkovic and Dejanovic are already serving a prison sentence in Mitrovica for the alleged rape of an Albanian woman during the conflict in Kosovo in 1999.
"During the procedure she gave a total of five statements that were absolutely contradictory, from the most important facts about the way of rape, the number of people who raped her, and other very important details. The First Instance Chamber saw her testimony as not credible," said Pantović.
