The political crisis and position of the Serbs (RTK2)
Although MPs of the Serbian List supported the coalition gathered around Ramush Haradinaj in the Assembly, they might not support Haradinaj for the formation of a government.
The Serbian list has not yet proposed a candidate for Vice President of the Assembly, which, according to the leader of the list, Branimir Stojanovic means that Haradinaj could lose the support of the Serbs in the formation of the government. "We do not know whether we will participate in the government. It is clear what we want, and we'll see if we can find a partner for it," said Stojanovic.
Support to Haradinaj resulted in tightening relations between Serbs and Thaci's deputies, believes Nenad Rasic, member of the Progressive Democratic Party. As he said, "the decision of the Serbs to be decisive factor and allow Haradinaj's coalition to lead Assembly is political immaturity".
A political game, related to the establishment of the Kosovo government, is now joined by the Serbs. Serbian representatives explained that they wanted to avoid institutional crisis. "We did not stand on any side. The Serbs prevented the escalation of the crisis, which exists for the certain time," says Stojanovic.
Rasic said that the Serbs had shown that they are not responsible factor in Kosovo. However, whoever forms the government, the Constitution guarantees that Serbs will participate in it. If Serbs want they could block the constitution of the government.
