Serbian PM Aleksandar Vučić said in talks in Belgrade with the chair of the European Parliament Foreign Affairs Committee, Elmar Brok, that he expected Serbia to open Chapters 32 and 35 in talks with the EU by the end of the year, and Chapters 23 and 24 after that. Brok commended Serbia’s progress in EU integrations. Vučić said that in the past five months Serbia had realized significant progress by adopting reform laws and that the government had announced fiscal consolidation measures. He also stressed the importance of the enactment of a package of media laws fully complying with the EU laws and affirmatively assessed by the European Commission.
