Trial to the leader of the Civic Initiative SDP Oliver Ivanovic and four other Serbs suspected for committing serious crimes during 1999 and 2000 will start in the last week of January.

Lawyer Nebojsa Vlajic said to Tanjug that an international judge of EULEX has decided that first hearing with the introductory statements will be held on 18 December, while the trial where witnesses would give their testimonies will start in the last week of January.

Oliver Ivanovic is held suspect for committing a war crime in Kosovo during 1999, for which he could be sentenced from five years to life imprisonment.
