The suspended British EULEX prosecutor Maria Bamieh has announced she will press slander charges against the head of that mission in Kosovo Gabriele Meucci, who described her accusations for corruption in EULEX as racist.

Prior to being suspended, the former prosecutor had accused some of her colleagues for taking bribe to end the investigations in some of the cases.

In late January Bamieh spoke of the corruption in EULEX before the European Parliament’s Board for Foreign Policy, and besides the earlier accusations she also noted that the high officials of EULEX had embezzled numerous funds originally aimed at the battle against crime and corruption.
