Serbia is doing everything to help the Serbs in Kosovo (Kontakt plus radio)
Director of the Centre for Foreign Policy, Aleksandra Nikolic said in Mitrovica that Serbia despite the limited economic resources does everything to help the Serbs in Kosovo.
"The needs are enormous and the possibilities are limited and what is worst in economic terms much less. It has nothing to do with the relationship of Serbia towards Kosovo Serbs than with the lack of adequate sources," said Joksimovic.
She was speaking at the debate of Mitrovica's social club "Kosovo Serbs, view from Belgrade, view from Kosovo", organized by the NGO "Aktiv" from Mitrovica, which was held on Thursday evening.
She reminded that Serbia in past had great waves of refugees and that Serbia in that part of the support was exhausted but still makes superhuman efforts to assist the Kosovo Serbs in economic terms with such modest resources.
She said that the SDP leader, Oliver Ivanovic, who is in custody and currently on trial, made a great contribution for the development of democracy in Serbia and has done much so the international community understands the position of Serbs in Kosovo.
