Policemen of Serbian nationality to guard Serbs in Klina/Kline (Vesti)
A Serbian patrol, members of the Kosovo police, was deployed from Tuesday in the municipality of Kline/Klina, in addition to regular patrols.
The decision of the Kosovo Police Service to deploy Serb police officers to the area of Kline/Klina has come after a series of attacks on mainly elderly Serbs and returnees in villages Drsnik, Klinavac and in urban part of Kline/Klina.
- The proposal was accepted of the Minister of Returns and Communities and Local Administration, Dalibor Jevtic and Ljubomir Maric, that for the safety of Serb returnees in the area of Kline/Klina care Kosovo Police Service from the Serbian community - say in the Kosovo Police, stating that this morning, two Serbian policemen from Gracanica were sent to Kline/Klina.
Patrols will rotate in 15 days, but soon is planned to deploy a larger number of Serbs in the territory of Klina/Kline, given that so far there were no police officers from the Serbian community in Klina/Kline police station.
On measures for the establishment of full security of the remaining 250 Serbs in the municipality of Kline/Klina subsequently will decide an inter-ministerial committee of the government of Kosovo that was formed last week at the request of ministers from the Serbian community.
