Hoti: Bad electrical installation caused ignition of vehicle (KIM radio)
The fire on the car "Ford Fiesta" owned by journalist of KoSSev Nevenka Medic most likely was caused by bad installation, according to Besim Hoti, Deputy Director of the Regional Police in the North.
"In this case no one was a suspect, since the owner of the vehicle had problems previously with the electrical installation."
However the case was initiated and the investigation is on-going in order to find out whether the cause of the fire was really a malfunction in the car or the vehicle was intentionally set on fire.
It was announced that same night, near Leposavic/Leposaviq, a car was set on fire owned by Lieutenant of the Kosovo Police Zoran Radulovic.
Hoti, however, denies that the vehicle is owned by the lieutenant. "It is not a vehicle of lieutenant, but a car owned by his son," said Hoti.
This case has been characterized as a case of causing general danger and handed over to the competent prosecutor for further action.
