The Mayor of Mitrovica North, Goran Rakic, condemned the shooting in Goraždevac in early Monday hours and assessed that those behind the incident want ethnically clean Kosovo. Desecrating monuments, destructing property and jeopardizing lives of Serbs in Goraždevac is the red alarm that shows in what circumstances Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija live, Rakic stated.

“Authorities have to do everything to protect lives of all residents, and as long as perpetrators are at larch there is a danger that such incidents might repeat,” Rakic said. He also requested engagement of international community with regard to this and other incidents that are taking place in Kosovo and which pose most serious threat to stability.
