Spirić: The workers will not lose their jobs (KIM Radio)
In 2016, Serbia will continue to finance the work of Mitrovica North Municipality, institutions and enterprises established by the municipality, said the President of the Temporary Organ of the municipality Aleksandar Spiric. He stressed that employees don’t need to worry that they will lose their jobs, since all institutions have full support of the Serbian government and Office for Kosovo. Through programs and in cooperation with the National Employment Service, local government tried to involve more young people. "During this year we were able to include 229 people in various programs," said Spiric.
He added that in 2016, local government will be focused on the economic development and opening of small and medium enterprises. "In 2016 we will try to open one factory in Mitrovica North, because in addition of being the administrative centre and place of gathering the Serbs from Kosovo, Mitrovica should be a kind of giant when it comes to producing. I believe that we will be able to hire additional people through small businesses and mini-factories," said Spiric.
