Complaint against Jevtic: There are no elements of criminal activity (Vecernje Novosti)
The Court of Appeals in Pristina dismissed complaint against the Minister for Communities and Returns, Dalibor Jevtic.
The court found the complaint as groundless. The case was initiated by the Kosovo Special Prosecution against Dalibor Jevtic and three his co-associates over alleged misuse of official authority, Novosti further reported. Although, Basic Court in Pristina, dismissed the indictment in July this year, the Kosovo Special Prosecution submitted a complaint to the Court of Appeals that rejected the complaint as groundless. “Based on the fact, that UNHCR donated vehicles to support the government, but also all other non-governmental organizations involved in promoting and working for the rights of communities, and based on the similar practice of this ministry, the court finds that the proceeding against charged persons did not prove the misuse of the official authority, but the aim was to help the institution that serves the general interest of the communities,” the Court of Appeals elaborated on its decision, adding that the Ministry donated the vehicle received from UNHCR to a Serbian NGO from Caglavica, Novosti daily reported.
