KFOR with Rakic, Hodzic: To strengthen cooperation in the investigation (RTS)
The Mayor of northern Mitrovica Goran Rakic met KFOR Commander Salvatore Cuoci with regard to the current security situation after the tragic murder of Oliver Ivanovic, reports RTS.
Rakic says that it is crucial to strengthen the cooperation of all the security structures involved in the investigation.
According to the statement, after the meeting it was said that KFOR will continue its regular activities in the north, in order to preserve peace and security, while Rakic pointed out that it was crucial to strengthen the cooperation of all the security structures involved in the investigation and to exchange information every day, in order to find the perpetrator as soon as possible, reports RTS.
We will continue to cooperate and communicate directly as before, in order to maintain peace on the ground, a common conclusion is reached on the both sides, the statement said, Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) reports.
KIM radio reports that KFOR visited today Mitrovica north and met also with head of the Mitrovica Municipal Administration Adrijana Hodzic.
According to the announcement, KIM Radio reports, General Salvatore Cuoci said that KFOR will continue to provide security in North Mitrovica, counting on the correct cooperation of this local government.
Hodzic expects that "KFOR will be at the level of the task when it comes to the security of the citizens of North Mitrovica" and on that occasion confirmed the willingness of the local government to cooperate with KFOR, reports KIM Radio.
