Milorad Zajic interrogated (KIM Radio)

Kosovo Special Prosecutor for war crimes, Habibe Salihu interrogated today Milorad Zajic, returnee from Klina, within the investigation on events that took place during the conflict in the village of Dusevic.

Milorad Zajic is suspected “of taking part in disappearance” of the three members of the Mrmulaku family in June 1998, when there were war actions in the village. Zajic in his statement denied charges and explained to prosecution that he was engaged during the war as a bank employee. Zajic added he had returned to Klina in 2006 where he also lives today, and had no connection with the events mentioned. “I am certain further investigation would conclude very soon that my client is innocent. He was brought today to the interrogation over house arrest measure, escorted by the police and I expect that house arrest would not be extended,” lawyer Dejan A. Vasic told KIM Radio. Milorad Zajic was arrested on 19th March 2018, over alleged war crimes charges as accused by his neighbours. One day later he was placed under house arrest, KIM Radio reported.
