Jevtic: It is shameful and inadmissible to block displaced people to visit their sanctuary (Serbian media)
The blockade of roads and the prevention of displaced persons to visit to at least a day the Church of the Holy Trinity in the village of Petric near Kline is a shameful act that brings nothing good to anyone living in Kosovo, said Dalibor Jevtić.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Communities and Return in Resignation Dalibor Jevtic points out, after the information that a group of displaced Serbs was prevented from visiting the church on a big Serbian holiday, that it is unacceptable and that such and similar incidents must end once, reports KIM radio.
According to the statement, the minister notes that it is sad that this is not the only incident of this kind, but that something like this is often repeated.
The Minister points out that "It is sad that in this way, the displaced Serbs are aware that they are not welcome in Kosovo".
Jevtic says that he will use his authority with the international community and relevant institutions in Kosovo to point out the seriousness of the situation and the harmfulness that these events are causing.
"The consequences of what is happening today are great. This is not just preventing the displaced from visiting the church and to preach their faith, this is a blockade of everything we are trying to do in terms of the return and survival of Serbs in Kosovo," the statement said, reports KIM radio.
