Zbogar promises investigations for suppositions of political interference on Klecka case (Koha Ditore)
Samuel Zbogar, Head of the European Union Office in Kosovo, stated that the EU will deal with the verification of the suspicions for the interference of Democratic Party, former EULEX chief Bernd Borchard and some Brussels officials during the September of the last year, on the work of the Court of Appeal, to sentence Fatmir Limaj and nine others for war crimes. According to Zbogar, investigations on this case have started prior to being published in the media, however no evidence was found.
This daily reported a few days ago that Limaj’s sentencing was considered as an ideal possibility to breach the coalition between the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) and the Initiative for Kosovo (NISMA). Koha Ditore claims to possess evidence which shows that the Portugeese judge Manuel Soares had promised to his EULEX colleagues sentencing of the NISMA leader, Fatmir Limaj.
